Volunteer for SANS

Want to do something good for your community? Or how about help

out the animals of CNY? Maybe you just need some volunteer time

under your belt to earn credits for school. SANS can help!

There are lots of things you can do to help, depending upon your

own personal schedule and your particular interests or skills.

There are task lists available for Check-In, Check-Out, Clinical

Support, Office Support and Outreach/Events Support. Shifts range

from just one to two hours, as often as you are able to give. If you like

to work with animals directly, some activities are involved with the

cats and dogs that are at the clinic that day for spay or neuter.

Training will be provided.

Fundraising :

If this is your interest or specialty, we have lots of fundraising ideas

and events in mind, but nobody to help us carry them out!  Every dollar

you help us raise will go directly toward spaying and neutering more

animals.  Some ideas we hope to carry out are:

• Selling candy bars and other items, combined with

"tabling" in grocery and pet stores so that we can meet

and educate the public.

• Helping us collect printer cartridges and used cell phones.
• Help us plan, promote, and run our “Sponsor a Spay”

program.

• Help plan and carry out bottle/can drives.
• Do crafts and sell them at craft shows.
• Bring your own fundraising ideas. Block party? Ice
• Cream Social? On-line sales or auctions? Raffles?

Garage Sale? Animal “field days?” Be Creative!! We are game for just about anything (legal) to help us spay or neuter more animals. 

If you are interested in volunteering at the clinic or helping with

fundraising activities (or in any other way), please print off and

complete the Volunteer Application Form and send it to us at
Spay and Neuter Syracuse (SANS), 1108 Spring Street, Syracuse,
NY 13208. Please add Attention: Volunteer on the envelope.
